updated my TRS2019 Patch, now driver mode lags while surveyor is normal.

Subways and railroads
I just updated my patch to 114800. I haven't played trainz in weeks, now when I open certain routes in surveyor mode it runs perfect even in areas with the highest scenery, but when I go in driver mode it lags super bad even in areas with no scenery detail. My computer has 38.3 GB space left because I did some cleaning and I have the right graphics card on my PC, so I'm confused on why this is happening, any help or suggestions please?

Hi Jamal,

This is due to the updated content from the patch being cached. After the process completes, your routes will open up quickly and run okay in Driver.

Ok thank you for the response, how long does this process normally takes? I've rebuild the database numerous times to see if that would help.

It depends upon what routes you load and how much content. Unfortunately, rebuilding the database doesn't help, but there's another option.

At the Launcher, go to Trainz settings then Dev tab. Enable the advanced debug tools and close that window.

On the Launcher again, click on the Developer menu then TrainzUtil.

A window will open up.

In that window, type in prebuild.

The process will run for however it needs to run and it'll will end with a window similar to the one used for downloads and database repair. There's another way to do this through the command prompt, but the one I gave you should work fine.

Just to clarify, you will find TrainzUtil in the Launcher Developer menu, or in the "Trainz Settings" top Developer menu (not in the Dev tab), as "Run TrainzUtil Command.."

Clarified in my post by fixing it. I love phone calls! Thank you for pointing that out.

Did you carry out the following step before opening the Developer menu in the Launcher (it also appears in the Developer menu in CM)?

At the Launcher, go to Trainz settings then Dev tab. Enable the advanced debug tools and close that window.

all i see is:
clear logs
show logs
show profiler
clear profiler
open shader editor
open TCCP PROJECT LIST

I did the prebuild two or three times and it still running the same, in surveyor mode it runs fast, as soon as I unpause surveyor mode or go into driver mode it lags really bad, it's frustrating because I can't enjoy the game and my route the way I want to

My guess is that an inefficient script is running in Driver that is causing the slowdown. (There have been scripts that caused fps to go from 100fps down to 1fps.)

So, the next step is to figure out if that is the case and then which one it is. Take a backup, and user save as when testing so you can toss away the test sessions after you're done.

Step 1 - remove all the locos and retry. If that runs fine, then replace half the locos and retry until you find one that causes a problem.
If your locos are in the session layer then simply create a new session and you'll have no locos.
Step 2 - removing signals is a bit harder. Probably the easiest way is to disable them in CM and restart Trainz.
Step 3 - try disabling other items in groups.
