Update ts2010?

I have a virgin copy of 2010 for checking or making uploadable routes etc. Would it be a good idea to see if the built-in assets have been updated, or best left well alone?
Perhaps this cannot be done anyway due to the lack of support.
Second question, if I update to ts2012 what will happen to all my ts2010 work?

You wouldn't be able to upload routes/sessions anyway using TS2010 unless you update the build number to TS12 level (and risk having new faults).

In terms of TS12, it's possible to import content from previous versions using the Import Content feature in Content Manager.

Thanks for the quick reply Shane, I am putting my work on my website and checking that no-one has to go looking for assets.
Happy that I can import the 2010 stuff into 2012 and not have to run both versions.

This is not correct; the DLS is still accepting TS2009/2010 uploads for the time being. But, that can change any day.

You still would be able to upload a TS2010 elsewhere without having to bother with TS12.

Depending on the version, TS12 does have stricter error-checking ranging from very minor for early version/builds/patch levels to extremely strict for the latest patches. In other words, if you're ok patching content to work in TS12, then upgrade. Fortunately, very little DLS content appears as faulty in TS12, so odds are you won't have to fix all that much content. It's may be a different matter if you're using content sourced from third-party websites, though.

Can you prove that? N3V said it was only for one week, and they normally stick to their word lately.

Further problem, I have uploaded a session to the dls but when I try to upload the route it shows a list of assets (all built-in) and reports they are not my own work.
Doing something stupid here but knows not what!
