Surveyor 2.0 Hangs After Update

To be honest I am not a fan of the filter system that's in S20. The way that S10 bulk replaced things was so simple and not convoluted one bit. I believe Approach Medium said in a live stream that the replacement tool in S20 only will cover a 300m radius (double clicking on assets and using the asset menu). It really should been kept the way it was originally for S20. As you pointed out bulk asset replace is there in S20, but it isn't done in the same way as in S10 (which was literally from the Tools menu).

I think part of the issue is that very few videos exist that deep dive into S20. Highlight reels suck. The Wiki fairs no better since most of what was done in the past no longer applies to S20. Take for example the plateau tool. Why was that renamed? When was first learning, all I kept seeing were videos from nearly a decade ago. What good is that when the name was changed to grade?

One thing I found is that you can't resize the radius diameter of a switch in S20 like you can with track markers. In S10 it is there, but that radius tool is mainly for markers and nothing specific for the switch radius. While it impats it, it's a global function for all radius assets. Should have been "Adjust Switch Radius" and "Adjust Track Marker Radius")

I can see why so many people really hated the update to S20. Too much changed and got renamed/removed. I just got used to the new system since I was going in blind.
The Wiki is community-updated and @pware has been the frontrunner with writing documentation for S20.

I agree, bulk update is kludgy in S20 and they should've left things alone. I think the reason they didn't is due to some code changes that wouldn't work with the old tool. I find the filter system awkward but it does work. You can do a full bulk update of a single object or spline by using the replacement option in the ever so miniscule contextual menu icon. When it comes to doing wholesale updates, I will go back to S10 and get the job done.

Grade and plateau are actually two different things. You can set an angle for a grade and have the grading tool follow that, if I remember correctly. With the grade set to zero, it acts like the plateau tool always did. What I don't like is the brush is one tool that fits all. I always end up raising terrain instead of placing a scrapbook.

Speaking of scrapbooks... It's difficult to tell where the scrapbook is going to line up. If there was a ghosted image of the scrapbook inside the marquee, this would make pasting and brushing down clones so much easier. This would definitely be helpful when placing buildings and streets.

The trigger radius tool in S10 does the same as it does in S20. The difference is its location amongst the triggers and markers rather than being in a new location. I agree, there should be a global setting option for that.

There are so many things need updates and fixes and like everything else it's a WIP.
