UP West Line

Thanks Taylor, but I don't think that I need any help at the moment. All I need is some time to just sit down and work on it.

Steveo... you're a saint.

Sometime over last week (Wednesday I think) Steve sent me his half of trackwork. Over the weekend, I fit it back into place, and began re-arranging the near-flawless trackwork so that it matched the rest of mine better. So, here are some pictures from soon-to-be Chicago:

Missing: one OTC.

The half of the route that he sent back to me included the slightly-sceniced western end of the route which we both couldn't manage to delete. So, I cut out a new place for it in the new route and, for those who like teasers...

I thought I had OTC track all done. Hm. I know I did it at one point, I'll have to look around for it

Steve

Ha. Nah, it's fine... unless you have it. No, I was more referring to the fact that, while I was pre-occupied with taking pictures of the outbound, the inbound took a little tumble where the station is supposted to start.

Up until a few days ago, yes, it was. I have sent UP4021 my half of the trackwork. He will complete the rest of the layout with help (I believe) from TrainzPA.

Ben started the project a while ago, and he had steve help him. Steve has let go of this project and given his half to Ben. Now he works on it alone.

wait wait time out, this is a "two" person project?

Well, you can sort of say that. Steveo did the trackwork in and around the downtown Chicago area, and I'm doing the rest. Other than that, Dave and metrarailboy have posted pictures of their own Chicago-based routes.

EDIT

LOL. Never mind. :hehe:

EDIT ON EDIT

Jeez, Steveo too? Man I'm slow!

I'm doing the BNSF Sub Chicago to Aurora and maybe out to Galesburg, IL.

You're making this look like a few months ago when Amtrak detoured on the West Line. But I don't know where else that could be. Clarendon Hills?
No :hehe: Naperville. I know I just like when freight locomotives lead Amtrak. Makes the train look more.... shall I say "interesting."
