Up and running TRS2006.

Though my computer is still over-revving the motor and fans, so I'm still a bit unsure. My TRS2006 is re-installed and I have a major problem...

How do I make the CMP re-recognize my Planet Auran profile?

Joshua

Hi SFbuff,

In CMP go to the settings, internet section and enter your user name and password. Also check that your kuid is in the settings, internet, miscelaneous section. If your kuid is not there go to your TRS2006\settings folder, open the file kuid.txt to check if it is there. If it is not there you must have missed something when installing.

Cheers,

We have a problem. I've entered my KUID both in the base form, and the number given by my profile here. I went to C:/Program Files/Auran/TRS2006/Settings/KUID.txt and my KUID was there exactly! I copy/pasted it, and it wouldn't go through, my username and password was entered correctly, and I won't go through, I check, and my exact serial number is entered both in my registration online, and in the installation... What's going on here?

I am guessing that the coment about fan motors (?) is about the cooling fans in your machine being turned on or up when your cpu runs hoter. That is just as it should be with Trainz. Trainz will run any cpu at max generating allot of heat but not to worry. That is why you have cooling fans. Mine run all the time but my daughter's machine only turns on the fans when needed. I put TRS2004 on her's but she has banned me from running it because the resultant fan noise startles her and causes her to believe it is about to blow up. :o
I guess the cpu does not get hot enough to rev the fan when she merely does the web.

It over-revs the fans just for anything... Turn it on, you'll here the fans over-revving, and they don't stop unit you shut it off... That's "normal" for this computer.:hehe:

EDIT: I think the problem may be way deeper than what I though. I'll create a layout, then when I exit and re-enter, my cursor will glitch back back and forth from the loading and normal symbols really fast and not all of the route will load... Could this be connected to the CMP problem, could my computer failure have caused this?

Sounds to me as though it needs a really good clean out, the fans and heatsinks could be full of dust.

We just cleaned it out, and it looks fine... Still, it could be dust. I'm not sure that's the problem, but it still could cause something.

Excuse the double post... My TRS2006 is down.

It can't load default routes nearly entirely.
It can't connect properly.
It's rediculiously glitchy. (i.e. Takes 4 minutes to exit from the Surveryor menu to a route. Showing the words moving the the left one step at a time.)
It's likely damaged.

How do I uninstall it? I'll try to reinstall it, and see if that helps. If not... I'll have to purchase another copy of if from the local Target for $9.95.
:(

Do you have another 3D game likely to make full use of your CPU, etc? How well does it run?
Perhaps disconnect from the internet, turn off all nasties protection software and see how it goes.
And/or check the CPU ussage in Task Manager to see if some other program is hoging the CPU cycles.

No. All of the programs were whipped clean when the corrupt data took down the computer.TRS2006 is the only program installed that didn't come with the computer by default. The computer runs fine. TRS2006 opens, closes, and navigates fine. Just loading, Railyard works fine. Heck, I can finally see my cursor. I couldn't before. Just loading routes and scenarios...

Sadly, we have no AVG or any other protection software, and I can't find the Task Manager. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium.
