I have been constructing my own Routes for about 2 years and have had over this time (I thought) experienced most strange happenings with using Surveyor in both 2004 & 2006. Needless to say with help from the forum members and a bit of experience I have been able to solve most "mysteries" until now !!
I first heard for want of a better description "crossing bells" on a part of the map with no crossings within approximately 20 baseboards. I searched for the bells - or source thereof - using the Mesh Button - with no success - removed a whole section and re-installed track etc etc and still "bells".
At this stage I decided to live with the bells and continued building.
Today I extended one end of the Map with two new baseboards and had done NOTHING to either when to my astonishment I moved across the bare baseboard and - BELLS RINGING as with a level crossing.
Searched the baseboard using Mesh Button and as expected nothing but the bells persist.
Am I going nuts or just the re-incarnation of Quasimodo ("the bells, the bells").
Any observations regarding the sound or my mental state will be excepted with gratitude !!
Ron
PS My Wife heard this as well so not ringing in my head.
