Unknown

Hi funnyfarm,

Start Trainz, load the route and session that has missing assets then while in surveyor click on main menu and select delete missing assets. Save and exit.

Cheers,

I did't explain it right. When I go to "My Content" and open one of my route asset by "View Dependents" (in that window there is 10 "?", also some "errors") and open that window in "view in main list". And when that window opens the "?" are gone. Going through the "route and session will not delete the "?". Any ideas? thanks funnnyfarm

Unknown usually means they are required dependencies that are not on your PC and are not on the DLS. You cannot delete what you do not have on your PC. You should however be able to use Delete Missing assets in surveyor, however in TS12 SP1, you have to ensure the route and session layers are unlocked, otherwise nothing happens.

Have you tried Google to find out what they are? Also The DLS Black Pages as they may show up there.
The other thing to try is to go into the Config for the Route and look for the Kuids. You may find that it is just showing a different version number in there.Change it to the same as the "?".
If you need to still get rid of them then you can delete them from the Config.
Cheers,
Mike

Looking in the config may help you find the assets, but editing the config.txt file for a route does not remove the references. As soon as the route is reopened for edit or launched again in driver, the missing items will be listed again. This has to do with them being recorded in the ground file.

Just because they are unknown assets, doesn't stop the route from running (unless it's track). If you let the route alone, you might find them someday, and the they will show up ... If it's not broken ... don't fix it.
