unknown assets

So how do I deal with these things? If I don't want to pay 15 dollars to use a search engine am i just screwed?

Getting all complete can be a lengthy process, not all that you miss is crucial to have fun with a route

You can often find things, just pasting the kuid in google search box


If you know the creator of your missing items, often a visit to their website helps

A couple weeks ago I downloaded a locomotive from the DLS that had a missing dependency, which turned out to be a unknown asset. By examining the config file of the locomotive I was able to see the kuid of the unknown asset being referenced on the horn sound line. So I edited the config file to replace the horn sound with one that worked and all was well.

I probably got lucky on that fix but looking at config files can often be rewarding.
