Union Pacific SD70 with fuel consumption

I bought a few and downloaded a few. Why is the consumption not working. Am I doing something wrong. I tried on TRS2019, and latest TRS2022.

I am busy building a 16 hour long session and would like to refuel the locomotives as the fuel runs dry

You'll need some specific industries for this, if you aren't aware of that.

Yes my route has over 600 industries with refuel stations all over. The locomotives I want to use, does not consume the diesel fuel for me to fill them up again. The bars showing the amounts does not move, even after an hour on full speed

Question for anyone connected with Jointed Rail

I am working on creating sessions for one of my rather large routes and the primary Loco I am using is the JR SD60E
The issue I am having is I want to perform refueling operations during the sessions, but even with fuel consumption active
and running in realistic mode my SD60E's only seem to consume about 7 to 8 liters per hour regardless of load or speed

I am just wondering if there is any way to increase this consumption amount as I believe that this is only about 10% of real world usage
and of course as you already know your assets are...

about a year ago I took some of davesnow's SD70s and added the fuel system in them according to this post Fuel consumption of a SD70ACe, SD60, sd80mac Thanks. They use the same effect library. I increased the fuel_rate_max to 1500. that consumes faster. You can play around. At that stage the consumption worked, even with the default value. I am not sure if <kuid2:45324:555246:9> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.47a was updated since then. But it is a while now that the diesel locos don't consume anymore, even the payware SD70's from Jointed Rail don't consume

In 19, I find that fuel consumption is often ignored in driver's easy mode but might work in driver's realistic mode. I didn't get to finish my testing on that topic.

That item is current and does contain fuel and sand consumption. Be sure that the ability is enabled in settings! Otherwise, it appears to still be working everywhere I try it.

@norfolksouthern37 thank you, I was not aware of a setting. It use to work. What is the setting called and is it in the game settings or on the launch screen settings

I found it. To be honest it dit see the JR logo before but never played around there. The setting speaks for itself. It is working now.

I have been playing around with the fuel rate

I took davesnow's <kuid:101046:107890> EMD SD70ACe Union Pacific Cab Lite ver DES. I cloned it and added the fuel system.

If I put the fuel rate on 30000, it consumes average 266/267 every 30 seconds. The train will run dry in about 35 minutes. I know it is not realistic.

Using Resource Check rule on your loco with End Session rule, this can be fun on a long session. You will have to do some additional planning.
