Uninstalling advice please anyone?

OK, I've only had these two games a short while and so far I've had a lot of trouble one way or another (not the games fault I must say). I've got a feeling most of my problems are because I downloaded from Steam. Anyhow, at 'no expense spared' I have now been out and bought the boxed DVD version of TS12 and if this proves a success I will do the same with 10EE.
Now what I'd like to know please is how should I go about removing my Steam version so that I don't get any conflicts when I install the DVD? Also will removing it have any effect on my TS 10EE ? Oh, and finally how do I go about changing my key code details so that my profile on Auran will be correct and up to date.

(Sorry to be such a pain in the *** after only being here a few days but I love the sound of this game and I'm determined to get it running as best as possible)

According to a post on the Steam forums, you will need to contact Steam to do this. It is possible to 'semi-remove' it by following the advice given at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhZaSlg_upU. Bear in mind that this will not remove it from the Library list though.

Yes that seems to have got rid of the Steam install and my DVD version is working excellent so far and it's now accepting the updates. if I carry on getting problems with TS10EE I may well buy the DVD of that release too. Plus of course I now have the proper full manual, I'm hoping to learn how to make my own layout/route so this was a must have really.
