UM E-W Humpyard

Hello,

I suppose this has been answered already and I have read several posts for and against the humpyard kit. I have been trying to get this route and kit to work in both trs09 3.3 and trs12. Everything configures fine and all but I can't seem to get enough momentum on the cars going down the hump to clear the yard switches. I have tried at a steady 5mph in both DCC and Cab modes.

It seems I had used it with 09 many years ago but maybe I am thinking 06. Who knows, I am getting old.

Thanks for the information in advance
Bill

I could give you the link to my TRS2006: "ALCO Land Hump Yard" ... it has a hump @ 1 m high, @ 125' long, and a very gentle gradient that sets cars rolling at @ 5mph, for a mile or two, requiring multiple pink Directional Speed Retarders to keep railcars to stop rolling on the -0.02% downhill gradient

Still a WIP, but it runs well

Downloaded PRR ALCO LAND-Hump Yard,<kuid:375722:1569> from your cubby.

I am missing 3 dependencies after a search on kuid index.

The three not referenced are...

Unknown Location: <kuid:375722:1447>
Unknown Location: <kuid:79097:1048>
Unknown Location: <kuid2:1854:1722:1>

Can't seem to find these 3 anywhere.

Can you help?

One is a Watertank by Cowboy
The other is Ghostys OH Bridge by VicTrainz (And is probably unimportant)
And the other is one of mine ... IDK what ... it must be unimportant, and I deleted it

You could just delete them

The real point of the route is to see how many cars and consists it takes to lock up a PC video card, and that an automated decoupler, at 5mph, with 1m high hump, will roll railcars at slow speeds, several miles on a -0.02% downhill gradient, and that Directional Speed Retarders will stop run-throughs from exiting the yard exit.

I really built the route as a huge test, and plan on doing another rebuild of a hump yard, totally differently, someday.

Let me know if you get free Skype, and what type of Hump Yard you want ... I plan on building Enola as it has 2 humps EB & WB

I once tried the UM E-W Humpyard, and that's where I get all my ideas from viewing other peoples routes
