UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

The route is very unfinished, not put 3rd rail all the way yet but I'm sure if the wind blows hard enough it should push these due to the sevear lack of aerodynamics

:D

Haven't posted screenies for a while... Still very much WIP of my Dartford to London route:

A route 87 pulls into Greenwich bound for Cannon Street

A route 25 picks passengers up at New Cross

Same 82 at Dartford, with the soon to close GlaxoSmithKline in the background :)

Some great work here, I know this area very well and have just returned from 2 weeks in this locality.

Is the route for TRS2004?

Have you included the East London line at the back of New Cross or do you intend to add the Overground? Looks like you could use a Networker, how about using some of the prototypical first generation EMUs available instead of the class 313s? The 3rd rail at platform A needs swapping over so it is away from the platform face.

Are you building Lewisham station? This would be a good one to include with the variety of freights that can be seen there also.

Have a look at my tarmac platform range on the DLS, I think it would work very well on your route and allow you to build akward curving stations like Lewisham (although part is prefabbed).

Thanks for your interest in my route. The route is being completed using TS2009, so I can't guarantee it will work in older versions of Trainz. This revised shot of the one that you quoted has a tube in the back serving the East London Line. I've also updated my platforms (as I intend to do on all stations). Thank you for pointing me in the direction of your platforms - they are very good, but don't appear to be directly compatible with AJS's platforms. I will still think about using them. I have swapped the 3rd rail over... ;)

I'm only using 313's (and 377's) at the moment (the 508 Southeastern's before they stopped working in TS2009). I feel they're the nearest we've got to a decent Networker, plus there's the ability to enjoy the journey as a passenger due to the internal view.

The image below is an indication of what I'm aiming to achieve. All stations are built, but some are very basic and there's lots to do on the landscaping front, as you can imagine!

@paulper- Thanks for the reply, that's a massive project but an extremely interesting one; London Bridge and Victoria will certainly keep you busy!

Your version of New Cross looks excellent with the East London Line tube in place. Now is a great time to build this area before the Overground sweeps away the existing landmarks (I'm not sure if that small ELL depot just north of New Cross will survive for instance?).

For a station like Lewisham, using a separate tarmac edge spline and surface spline would allow you to 'bend' the platform face to a much tighter curve without gaps appearing. 'Mind the Gap' is especially appropriate here; I stopped off at the station many times with my kids and none of them would attempt to get off themselves! The AJS Q stations will basically fit in with any platform system (and they work in TRS2009), they comprise very short sections of track, again ideal for tight curves and allow the angle of the passengers to be adjusted. I used a similar set up for the curved Mallaig station on my rework of Vern's Mallaig extension, this system fitted in very well and is extremely flexible.

I'm currently using TRS2004 to finish off a route for the Deltic Preservation Society, but I need to convert to TRS2009 at some point so will be very interested in your progress.

Good luck and keep up the great work.

as the size of the pic affects the file size it explains why I use up my webs.com storage so quickly, but the good thing about that is it means I have to put fresh content on every week so it keeps visitors happy:)

The problem with doing that is you will lose the link to the screenshots thread. Everyone will just see a blank space or a small red cross!

Just a small hint, resize your screenshots to 1024 by 768. Apart from that, looks good

And don't use BMP files! Yes, its a BMP. The reason being is that the size of the image becomes horrendously large and those who are unlucky enough to be on dial up connections, will just download the file, very, very slowly. Even on my connection, I am noticing one of your images are slow at loading.

Try converting the image to JPEG and avoid using MS paint. Try this: http://www.getpaint.net/

WEN I already use paint.net I just had a dim moment and used ms paint as it was quicker loading!

JPEG ( yet to be re-sized, will do tonight and update tomorrow! )

Oops! Should have been clearer - I only intend on completing the route with the stations coloured red on the map on the previous page. Thanks for the advice. Whilst not planning on doing Lewisham (at this stage) they would certainly come in handy for Dartford and London Bridge.

I have the small ELL depot already in place. To be honest I can't keep up with the change that is occurring along the route! :)

Not been on these forums for a while but heres a few shots from a route I've started trying to make.
