UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

@pfx "Another coorse day somewhere in Scotland but those crazy little citizens of Trainz don't seem to mind a bit and are out in the summer clothes."

Could be that they are tourists up from Tyneside.
if you have ever been out in "The Toon" at a weekend you will know what I mean.
Great work BTW.

I have indeed, back in the 90s. Whitley Bay is equally bonkers.

Bonkers is the word for those n3v passengers.

Greetings all great looking stuff. Here's a bunch from me trying my best to replicate the west Midlands as much as I can, Progress is slow but slowly made it to the rest of the route now to slowly re detail the rest of the route. The country side/rural areas are almost done then can start to detail the transition to the city based on the west midlands/Birmingham. the rest of the route is sort of complete but now I need to go through that part of the route and sprues up the detailing and surrounding areas going to take some time but will have screenshots at some point, Hope you enjoy the shots.

South Milford on the old York and North Midland route in the 1980s.
The Line from Selby comes in from the left and the ladder junctions to the south of the yard permit traffic to head either the Normanton via Castleford (The old Y&NMR) or to Ferrybridge and Pontefract on the old Midland & North Eastern joint line to Sheffield. At Ferrybridge there is a further junction, permitting trains to head over former L&YR metals to either Knottingly or Pontefract. Coal trains from Hull are routed through Selby, Milford South, Knottingly and on to Drax power Station.

Class 101 DMU on a local passenger working between Sheffield and York passes a Class 56 with an oil tank train in the down yard while a 56 stands in the Milford sidings beside the chord from Gascoigne Wood on the Leeds-Selby line.

A Class 46 from Sheffield runs through the area bound for York and Newcastle with a parcels train.

Around 1905 the North Eastern quadrupled the track between South Milford and Burton Salmon, demolishing the junction station here and replacing it with a two-platform station at Monk Fryston, a little to the south on the old Y&NMR route. The building of the Selby cutoff on the E.C.M.L. in the early 80s, accompanied by the number of permanent way speed restrictions due to colliery subsidence on the former M&NER joint line through Pontefract meant that BR started to divert services between York and Sheffield via Doncaster.

That looks fantastic pfx, it's coming along very nicely. You may have said before, so apologies if I'm repeating a question someone has asked, but are you using HD terrain or the classic grid?

Cheers,

PLP

Thanks PLP. I don't think anyone has asked actually.

It is a 5m grid route. I did initially think about changing the boards with track on them to HD but when I tried it, it left an unsightly gap where an HD board met a 5m board.

If you look carefully, you may see your bridges crossing the line in the foreground.

Hello folks! Here's a few screenshots from my new route "UK Short" recently put on the DLS. Content featured on the Route & Sessions isn't my own so thank you to the creators for allowing us all to use it. This was built on TANE SP4 and please feel free to Edit/Incorporate the route as you see fit! I think I will update to a newer version and acquire some more content before my next project!

Enjoy,
Alex

Evercreech Junction has gained a new water tower to compliment it's new signal boxes - I'm quite pleased with the result, though the metal texture on the tank needs further examination as to me it looks wooden... ho hum, that's a tomorrow problem.

And the station so far. The north yard, including the turntable and the physical junction itself are out of shot behind the cutting but you can see the north 'box giving away its approximate location.

I've not had much time for Trainz lately so nothing too exciting from me this time. I've moved slightly east of Polmont and started on Manuel jcn where the Bo'ness and Kinneil railway branches from the main Embra Glasgow route. The embankment in the foreground is the former NB line from Bo'ness to Whitecross which passed under the mainline.
