Something to wonder about....

That looks nice WEN, is the driver inside the cab now?

Save that teaspoon of petrol, it's worth money!

Great shots all :)

Whilst improving the mainline between Truro and Redruth, I decided to get some screenshots.

TallicksCrossing01.jpg

Wessex Trains 153329 and 153369 pass Tallicks Crossing just East of the Chacewater Viaduct, looking East.

Looking west, a Virgin Voyager passes.

Looking good there, sorry to hear about the petrol burning your skin tho :( That sucks :(

It hasn't soo much burnt my hands, but stripped the natural oils off, shame I don't use moisturiser really, as I am particulary prone to a sympton called "chapped hands". I believe, although I maybe wrong, its down to my natural hair colour (red/ginger) and skin colour (very pale), which also aparently leads to a lessor pain tollerence, I don't know if that is true. I just have to be careful when washing my hands, although I'm trying to find some hand soap that does have a moisturing efffect... normal soap should in theory have that effect as its usually a great big lump of fat.

At least the little Clio (which needs a wash! God, its getting filty thanks to the awlful weather that hinders my attempts to clean it every time) is still going, the Corsa is the next challenge, but that has a half a tank of petrol (with sugar and therefore a massive block, if the screen on the bottom of the clio's pump anything to go by, that means I should be safe everywhere else, e.g. fuel lines, fuel filter and injectors.) which disposing of it will be a massive problem as I have to drop the tank and filler hose full of petrol out, because there is simply no other way of doing it, the ring to the pump is rusted on, can't syphon out of the hose as thats blocked with sugar, can't pump it as its also blocked, so its drop and dispose of very carefully. I might seek some professional advice before I do it though, to see if there are other ways of removing the tank without the fuel in it (that probably means using a brass tool to make holes, which is pretty much what I think scrappies use).

Anyway, I'm way off subject and I should say, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Petrol is volitile enough and in the wrong hands, its a bomb! If you are concerned and don't know what you are doing (even if you think you do!) leave it to a garage, its much better, you don't want a Williams Garage like fire.

Great shots all :p

A Class 156 loads at Wendover Central.

A Class 390 Pendolino, 390050 Virgin Invader, slips through the un built run up to Wendover Lyme Tunnel.

c2c Western's new Class 170/9's are quickly coming into service. They are in c2c's old blue livery. They are virtually identical to the 357's inside and out, except they are 3 cars long and diesel. c2c western started after they won the franchise for the Cyam Mainline which is 60 miles long and fictional. Here 170901 ,c2c Hope, and 170903 ,County of Millford, slides out of Alfriston with a service to Markdale.

Its not quite the same but, I was at work last saturday and was using T cut in the course of work. I've used it many, many times before polishing. Then, last week I was using it and it ended up in my eye. I guess what I am saying is that - just because you have used something some many times before, we should get complacent. On a more postive note, the southern 502 looks great! :D

Thats true, which reminsd me, I better strip the paintwork on my car, especially the damaged side, its not in the best state. I had a go at my sisters cars front brakes before it gets chucked into an MOT, err.. I wish I never bothered. The reason being is I couldn't undo the caliper, because it is a Vauxhall Astra and I need a 7mm bit. ARRGHHH.

The 502 is probably going to take much longer than anticipated though :(

A lot from me, and nice screenies and I like the car one :D
