Yes Lord Claud I"ve been practising making them out of bits and pieces.Gotta go for a couple of jars but I"ll post a couple of screenies if you want....

OK...Heres a set of Coal Drops at Penshaw. All the drops on my lines are based on the general dimensions in "North Eastern Record Vol 1".First I lay down a "Coal Stage" spline to the number of cells I want. Then build walls (in this case Brick Wall 2) to the the same dimenions as the Stage , all set to the same height. Then I lay "Track Only Rusty" on top of the cells and place "UK Rail Buffer" at the end supported on abutments. Finally I lay Walkways of "18 Inch Mine Dump TrackBridgetop" either side of the track.I attach the Drops to the running line by a ramp either on an embankment or supported by "Stone Retaining Wall Dirty" Any questions?

Another set at Hylton supported by "Muro De Cinta" (TRS2006 builtin content) The drops are normally 9 feet above ground , so Muro isn"t tall enough but it looks good.An unusual feature here was that the drops were approached by 2 tracks.I think the idea was that the empties ran away by gravity.

And finally this ancient set at Fencehouses were built of stone blocks so I"ve used "Stone Retaining Wall Dirty".Real Coal Drops often had a small sign "Engines Are Not Allowed On These Depots" and I"ve simulated this by pacling a red "Stop" Signal Board on the right. This stops Alistair from driving a Deltic onto the Drops! :'(

An Austerity 0-6-0 rumbles past Penshaw North signalbox on the NCB line. All this is now weeds, trees and burnt out cars....:(

Nice shots overmars, why is the first unit so bland though.:hehe:

Having left the modern ECML, here's one of the cross country line, where a levelcrossing only opens if needed to.:D Apologies for the 1970s wagons and an EWS loco, all I had running at that moment.:o
