ECML Kings Cross - Newcastle 2012 `OLDYFICATION`

Could not resist doing this to my copy of TRAINZ 2012. What I`m creating is a 1960s` version of the Retford - Newcastle section of the ECML by replacing track & signalling & `rebuilding` stations, depots & goods yards on the `foundations` of this super 1970s masterpiece that the ECML team have produced. Hope none of them mind my `butchery` but I thought that it would be good if our younger Trainzers could see a close resemblance to what the ECML once looked like.
The screeny shows Ferryhill Station, Co Durham: - A3 heading a Southbound express on the Up Main, class 37 waiting to follow a Liverpool - Newcastle passenger, with coal empties from South Bank to Bearpark Colliery, Up parcels hauled by a class 24 arrives in the station, whilst two Caytons are seen hauling empty bogie bolsters for Lackenby steelworks.

More screenies to follow soon.

Glad you like our route :)

PM our boss napierdeltic (Stuart) via this forum and let him know what you are doing before posting any other screenshots as I'm not sure what the score is with these.

I am sure that one of our other members is doing a backdated route though.

I'd be interested to hear what comes of both these:

[1] I find it difficult to believe that one cannot post screenshots of modified routes (of which you are not the author) any more than you are not barred from modifying the routes for your own use. Uploading a modified or unmodified route (or any other assets authored by others) without the permission of the author is obviously not permitted, but screenshots of them ... ?

[2] As a steam fan, I would be really interested in seeing a steam era version of ECML (or any other high quality route for that matter) on the DLS, so I look forward to news of the same. (Also I think centenaries get in the way of the appreciation of any route, but they are obviously a necessary evil if the route, and the locos that run on it, demand it).

Peter.
