UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

The route is the bog-standard built in ECML route. I have been thinking about looking into upgrading it (for my own use)... if I really wanted invest in the time to do so.

They still need some work, this is the 1st time in TRS for them;

The shot of the HST at York is from the first version of the ECML from TRS2010. This was a temporary York station and the signals have since been changed. The gentleman who built this area has two disabled children, wife and a full time job. He would build the route once the family had gone to bed. His PC was kept safe from the kids by being in the bedroom which he worked on till 3 o’clock in the morning while his wife slept a few inches away.

I’ve rebuilt York station and area for the 2012 version which is still not complete. I’m sure everyone would like the next version go to Edinburgh so only a certain amount of hours in a week. Myself personally I’m working on the ECML 50 hours a week. Six every evening and 12 hrs on both Saturday and Sunday on top of my 40 hr a week paid job. I did have Christmas day off.

All of us in the team enjoy building the route and the tons of locomotives as long as you enjoy our masterpiece. :D

Stuart- once we do get to Edinburgh that calls for a big celebration :)

It's easy for others to criticise unfortunately but I don't think anyone has an idea of the scale of this achievement unless they are directly involved with this massive project.

All credit to you for starting this off and keeping going with it, I hope you can see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Thank you I’ve never regretted starting this project 8 years and 2 months ago and its not just a credit to those in the team like your good self but to the content creators’ out there who have built such wonderful pieces.

Finished at 2 this morning and back on the project at 8 o’clock. Have been knocking up 50 hr a week since September but there are others in the team also hovering on the same amount. During the running session my hours on the project are a lot less with looking after the locos. I single handed look after 55019 on the North Norfolk Railway all of last session. Other Deltic events again part of the support team as driver or fitter with either the Deltic Preservation Society or the National Railway Museum’s 55002. Not forgetting 55016 and 22 as well all have to help each other.

The 3 baseboards that York sits on took 500 hr and the line must be drawn under at some point to move on with other areas with only so many hours in a year and only go back at a later date.

Yes the end of the tunnel is very bright now and the date fixed for us to celebrate at our loco depot at Barrow Hill running 55008 to Edinburgh. Still have massive plans for the route in the future but as we say one step at a time.

Cheers

Our UK page was getting near the bottom! ....... so........

This one is especially for ADRIAN19
We were talking ages ago (in another thread) about level crossings and Brockenhurst in particular - He helped me a lot and now I am very proud of what he helped me achieve!

Some great shots there :D

An unusual moment on platform 2 of the local Ashwell East station, as a class 222 pulls in:

First from me in a while. I'm currently working on the Tarka Line, where I have focused firstly on getting the trackwork and immediate lineside scenery complete. Apart from having to create various new items in Gmax, that's now complete, and so now it's a case of completing the surrounding scenery. Thankfully, most of the route is in a valley, which helps when it comes to trying to keep the amount of scenery reasonable for my computer! I hope, but WON'T promise, that I will release this as a standalone route (from Exeter St Davids to Barnstaple) at some point before next Christmas, before working more on the rest of Devon.
Here's the first fully completed section, from Lapford to Eggesford.

At the main public entrance to Eggesford Forest, the main road being the A377, which hugs the Tarka Line for much of its length.

First class work there David - Your landscapes look like postcards! and your close ups show such atmosphere. I love it!

Haven't posted for ages ;) Started building tube routes in Winstingham, but has been rather difficult as i'm actually using the cut and cover method, which makes the process of making a station very tedius sometimes.

Victorian, so you're sticking with those Russian metro tracks, eh? But I must say, nonetheless, that is an achievement in creation. Did you make all that Underground Content? And the Q Stock? Impressive. Also, the pics are nicely formatted.
Cheers
Eric :)

@Trainlevel2, No i hate the russian ones haha but im in the proccess of replacing the tracks as 'replace assets' says it wont replace track :( I made some of the content.

Anyway good shots people, heres a little preview of whats on the DLS soon :)

Victorian those underground shots are amazing! - I don't recognise a lot of the content including the stock - Is it all self made? - I love the station entrances and subways particularly.
Great job, Nij
