ugly trains

There's nothing wrong with either. A crap paintjob doesn't make it an ugly loco. Perhaps we could have a crap paintjobs thread too?

I'm actually really liking that unit as of late. I came up with some variation of that scheme a while back, never did a drawing with it though. Too bad BN executive and Warbonnet didn't combine well (at least as they tried it) as they were both beautiful schemes.

Yep. I personally don't mind that scheme, and commend BNSF for trying to use the warbonnet. Unfortunately, there's just something about it that's a bit off... perhaps if they darkened and thinned that red line it might not look so bad.

I think it's biggest problem is having the 'cream' around the windshield. if that were green it would look a ton better. Also scrap the "Burlington Northern Santa Fe" off the side & just go for "BNSF" hmm sounds like I should hit the drawing board one of these days.

Personally, I like the T1, but that's probably because I like things that look different.

Approach_Medium, you said the T1 looked like a steam locomotive trying to be a diesel, well...

Gross.
Dog trying to be a train? Or train trying to be a dog?

I don't know prre6, British trains were my first love (probably had something to do with Thomas and Friends) :p
This looks like it has a saddle tank. It reminds me of a whale.

I dub thee Moby Dick.
That is actually a high pressure steam engin I am pretty shure its running pressure would be around 1000 PSI and the tank part is sheating to cover the rest of the high pressure boiler that would make it look an evean bigger eyesore. and those trains with heads for smokeboxes just shoulden't be legal by how it can scar kids and ME:hehe:

No comparison.:D

Well maybe it's because it's the Americans that have named it "Bullet Train." Over there in Japan they are called Shinkansens. The Bullet nickname however did not come from how it looks but how it goes; It is as fast as a bullet.

PS these are all also "Bullet Trains":
