All I Have To Say Is This

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Interesting wheel/bogie arrangemend and a new one on me. What would that be, Bo/Bo-Bo/Bo?

As for the comment on anything in Europe, well, if ever there was a learned opinion, that isn't it.

Is this ugly, heyrey?

BTW, the answer is "No, it most certainly isn't"

With regard to the idea that all European stuff is ugly, just check out Sir Nigel Gresley or Mallard, or pretty much any GWR locomotive for that matter if you think European trains are ugly, or even some of the classic 1930s and 40s German steam locos, many of which are every bit as good looking as the classic US steam locos of the same era. In more modern traction terms, Deltics and their derivatives are very pretty locomotives that are as attractive as the classic US F units which receive so much adulation from US rail fans.

The more recent BR Class 59 and 66 are essentially re-bodied EMD SD50s, and they are amongst the most visually pleasing and well proportioned of British locos because of that, very handsome indeed when you see tham up close. Where multiple units are concerned, check out stuff such as the BR Class 180 Adelante, which is unusual in being a diesel hydraulic loco. That is a really striking looking train when you see one in real life, in fact it is very reminiscent of some of the classic streamlined art-deco influenced US passenger multiple units of ages past such as Zephyrs and the like. I was astonished by how stylish that Adelante looks the first time I saw one in real life.

Yup, the Class 180's are amazing. One passed me up close the other day. Much more elegant than the 170's. Maybe someone should make one for Trainz?

I also think european locomotives are ugly and look wimpy, and try too look too pretty to the point they are ugly! And those buffers look awful, just my opinion, doesn't mean it's fact

My opinion is that American locos are ugly. Especially the 611 and 4449. But that is my opinion.

Is that the train from the end of back to the future 3 lol

I might be wrong, but it looks like a German "Condensing" turbine. They worked much like the PRR turbine where steam drove a turbine linked to the drivers via a set of gears. There where 2 turbine's, one for going forward and one for going in reverse. But the Germain's tried out the idea of reusing water. Steam would be exhausted into radiators on the tender where it would cool back into water and go back into the water tank on the tender. Only about 50% of the steam went back to the tender, with the other half blasting out of the exhaust to run the locomotive like normal.

This is not photoshopped. This is BNSF SW10B (SW1000B). Formerly BN; This unit was rebuilt from wrecked BN SW1000 #442. To me.. It looks kinda ugly.. It looks like someone chopped the cab clean off!

Nah, the Alstom Class 390 Pendolino is electric, and although strictly speaking it is Italian in origin, there are tons of the things in England on the WCML. It's not beautiful, but it certainly isn't ugly by any stretch of the imagination.
