ugly trains

If you're talking about the infamous 'Holman Horror', then that was already explained in detail earlier in this thread - it was just a fraud concocted by con artists trying to rort the stock market (as any mechanical engineer even remotely competent at the time would have said, 'there is no way that would work how it was meant to').

Apparently though people were gullible enough that the scammers managed to do the same trick twice in fact. From all reports the engines used in the scam ended up being rebuilt as conventional locomotives which had more or less normal working lives once their notorious pasts were forgotten.

Sorry if this has been explained before, but what exactly was the "Intended" point of the locomotive?

It was a scam basically - locomotive 'snake oil' designed purely to attract unsuspecting and mechanically illiterate investors to invest money in the 'project', which the unscrupulous con artists would run off with. Copying and pasting the earlier post about it goes into more detail (sadly the page that listed the locomotive seems to have disappeared):

It was a stock market swindle. The Holman Locomotive built the locomotive in 1887, marketing it as a revolutionary new propulsion system. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of mechanics ridiculed it, but that didn't stop naive investors pouring their life savings into it. The company went bust, and the owners ran off with the money.

10 years later they did it again, but this time with a loco from Baldwin.

So yeah, it showed even then, 'caveat emptor' was the rule when it came to investing in new technologies. ;)

The GT3 Gas turbine Locomotive, ugly, or just plain unusual?

New London Underground tube train, looks a but like a worm.

The GT3 looks fantastic. Fortunately, that Tube train is but a concept for now although if you ignore the cab front, it essentially looks the same as any other modern Tube stock.

yeah, it does have that "face only a mother could love" look, coupled with what appears to be an Eeyore Personality....

Latvia is the best country in the world because: they turn perfectly nice looking trains into eyeball melting metal boxes from Ukraine!

The rebuilding and new design is entirely of Ukrainian origin. Latvia didn't do this ;)
EDIT: Actually your sentece doesn't make much sense.
