Typewriters?

Hello all,

I'm just wondering- is there anyone here who collects typewriters?
I have two at the moment, a NIPPO typewriter, labeled for Cherryland and an Underwood Italiana 18.

Well, given my interest in almost any thing old, I have some interest in typewriters.

My oldest is a Royal KHM from around 1936-37 or so. We got it for about 45 bucks from an antique shop. It is a nice one, but a few of the keys are stuck firmly in place, even after I literally coated the inside of the thing with WD-40, etc. :'( Other than that, I have a Smith-Corona Electra 120 from the 1960s-70s in its case.

Unfortunately you're not allowed to be interested in anything but trains here, so I doubt this thread will last very long...

I've got a WORKING 1930's model Underwood portable typewriter myself. I've been using it to write a book on.

This is what it looks like. (Not mine just the type.)

That Underwood typewriter is almost as old as UTC isn't it?

Well, the railways used typewriters in the good old days to do all their paperwork, etc.
