Hello,
I just bought the TS2010 EE, build 42203.
I have been trying to download SP3 but to no avail.
When I try to run the first tutorial nothing much happens. A few sheds and a few trees appear on the screen and a locomotive sound, that´s it.
I hope someone can help me!?

The first tutorial is 99% reading. The 2nd one where you get to drive a freight train. I experienced bad lag. Then there was one where you get to drive (or not) a passenger train to an Airport and back. Broken. 2 units come into the station and split. The first was supposed to drive off into the sunset leaving you free to drive to the airport only it didn,t, wouldn,t or couldn,t. One of the scenarios is completely broken and the other 2 are slightly broken but only at the end so they are still "doable" The reasons have been dealt with in these forums. But back to the main point of this thread. Have you tried playing a session of another route? That would be a good place to start. But not ECML I hasten to add.

Thank you Colourlight.
I just discovered that the minimum CPU for TS2010EE is 3.4GHz and I only have 2.8 GHz. Missed it when I bought the DVD.
How fast CPU do you have?

Your processor should handle it as I am running trainz 2010 and TS12 using a 2 ghz processor with 2 gb of ram, nvidia 8200m graphic card, windows vista operating system and this is all on a laptop with minor lag...

Try downloading and running this patch....
http://download.ts2009.com/patch/42203_to_44088.exe

It is the latest patch that still uses compatibility mode, and in my opinion, the most stable.....

By chance what is your graphics card?

Thanks Kevin,

3 times I tried to download that patch.
"Couldnt extract" and "abandon patch", was the answer every time.

G'day,

My previous puter had 1.6Ghz and 2gigs of ram, but with vista, and Trainz 2010 ran Ok on it, albeit somwhat slow.

Have a good one,

You should try switching between Directx and Open GL to see which is better. And also switching between compatiblity mode and Native. The 1st is for older content but may affect performance and native is for 2010 is for 2010 standard. I run Trainz in a a free odownload which shuts down every unneccessary application on the computer which can also help. Defragging your computer reguarly is another thing that can improve performance
