Latest Screens
Hallo,
here some screens about the latest state of the redesign of my Milwaukee Road Othello - Kittitas route.
Now the Lower Crab Creek contains water. As the terrain is quite flat, it is not necessary to use river splines. I used water splines only at several short locations at the river as needed when the river drops down one meter at a lenght of about 50 meters. The other (flat) areas has been equipped with water made as single scenery objects - created by using large planes.

Please find a screen of the Smirna Bench attached. Initially I used a lot of textures from the "terre" series (available at DLS) back in TRS 2004 times. Still you can recognize two the the terre textures in this screen. The others has been replaces by simillar looking textures created by me. This textures now meets the latest standards including season change and provides a better "tilling behaviour". Also I use 2048x2048 pixle textures. This textures will be released within this route.
The first screens indicates an eastbound train led by Boxcab Unit E38 A+C+B crossing the Lower Crab Creek between Jerichow, Wa and Smirna, Wa. Other screens indicates a westbound train led by three SD40-2s passing Smirna, Wa. The last two screens indicates a GP9 going north and crossing the Lower Crab Creek at the Royal City Branch.
Some information about the real thing:
Althgough disconnected at Othello, the old Milwaukee Road tracks - later used by the "Royal Slope RR" - still remains disused all the way from the old Othello Station via Taunton (substation No. 21) up to Royal City, while the tracks at Smirna has long been gone.
