tugs not visible

I have downloaded the tugs Marion and John Hart for use with my port operations. They don't show in the object viewer nor can I see them appear on the board. Can anyone tell me what is wrong here?

why they are listed as rolling stock is also a mystery.

They are drivable, and require to be placed on invisible track

I have tried placing an invisible rail and clicking on the tug and rail - nothing. The tugs do not show up in the object viewer. I'm using TS2004. Tried locating the tugs in TrainsObject, it lists them and when asked says mesh is found, but in the list column it says "no mesh".
Can anyone explain this to me?

Try this. Delete the ..\Auran\TRS2004\Cache\world_cache_dispatcher.chump file then start 2004 to let it rebuild the asset list.

Firstly have you got all the assets for the tugs? Check for missing assets. They should appear in the rolling stock tab not the objects tab. They have been created to run on track that is 3m above the water level.

Your delete suggestion didn't work. I will check for missing assets, though it didn't mention any dependencies in the download. The tugs are listed in the rolling stock, but there is nothing showing in the object window for them. I have tried laying invisible track and clicking on the tug and the track, nothing. Although I can install a train on the track just fine - and have underwater trains.

you didn't mention and no one even asked..what version you on?

if 09? forget it mate,,most driveables will not work

you have to have the author make new for 09, or try to fix yourself,,what fun this trainz is!

Oh yes. Great many marine and construction equipment on that site, highly recommend. Not exactly the place to go looking for trains per se, but alot of stuff to complement our trains.

I checked for missing assets and found several, have just been downloading them. However there is still one listed as missing that I can't find. 60238:54004.

Yes, I find vulcan's site a real gem.

That's the Tugpusher Horn Sound. It's on the DLS.

Loading the missing assets didn't work either, though I will look for that horn sound. It was only for one of the tugs and none of them work, yet.
Guess I'll just have to do with the default tug and get on with the rest of the seaport.

All I ever get on a search is "no downloads found" no matter what criteria I use.

Just replace the horn sound with any other one. This should bring up the tug. At a later stage when you find the correct horn sound replace it.

There may have been other assests listed, but these were the onl ones missing, and I have found all but the horn sound.

Find the tug on the DLS click on download page instead of add to cart. On the new download page scroll down so the dependencies show and the horn sound will be shown. Click on detailed and it will take you to the horn sound.

When I try to use the download page I get an error message "Get Right does not know how to open this file. No programs are associated with it". When I try to update the download helper it tells me I need to have a Trainz program installed. Well, I've got two of them installed. Since I have been downloading from the cart just fine, I haven't asked for help about this problem - yet.
However I will give the suggestion a try and see what happens~

Now I've learned something new about the download station! Found the horn sound and downloaded it.
