TS9 vs TS10

I have ordered TS10 and, assuming I get a good install, is there any reason to keep TS9 on my computer? Is there anything that TS9 can do that TS10 can't?

No. TS2010 has features that TS2009 does not have.

TS2010 is the better program and is likely to be the one getting most of the attention from Auran. No need to keep TS2009 but providing you have the space and you would like to keep TS2009 then do so. The two do not interfere with each other.

Now I am confused. When TS9 was released, I was under the impression that TS9 is the builder (Surveyeor) edition and TS10 is going to be the Driver (Engineer) edition and that they will be working together. What happened?
I installed TS 10 and I am extremely disappointed. It is not backwards compatible, no matter what they say. I tried to add Marias Pass by HP Trainz, and it does not even show up, even with compatibility mode switched on. I tried the TRS2006 route packs, but they also don't appear. They seem to have slid into oblivion. I am still looking for Surveyor. I appointed Sherlock Holmes and Maybe we can find it.
Sorry, but the interface is not very friendly. Maybe because I don't understand Geek-Speak by software engineers.
I am thus limited to the very small amount of routes that came with TS2010.
:(

You are right about it not being user friendly. I don't have TS2010 but I have read that the default is to only list a limited number of content, probably TS2010 aproved or some such. There is some sort of star (gold?) you must click on to allow the display of all content.

Originally the two programs were going to need each other for a full install. In the end, TS2010 was released with a full (and mostly improved) implementation of Suryeyor (under routes in the first menu). There's no reason that TRS06 routes shouldn't work in TS2010 (though you may well need compatibility mode switched on). The option that SuperFudd refers to is 'display only favourite content', which is switched on by default. Switch it off.
