After seeking advice I took the plunge and have upgraded from TRS2006 to TS2012 there will be a learning curve obviously but I hope not to bad as I'm not a novice.
However Three Questions at the moment :

1. My movement stutters and stalls whilst in Surveyor in all routes, however it runs pretty smooth when I fire up to driver to play the game ? this just seems odd to me, any thoughts ?

2. I cannot seem to delete the built in consists which I was able to do in 2006, its just I don't need them and just want my own made up ones there, so how do I do this ?

3. I tried to download the route " Modern Europe " but in the cmp it shows up " pink" and says unknown errors and will not download, any solution please ?

could be your video card..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

you can't do that... only you can, disable them.....

could be made for a higher build number than you have

Not trying to be smart or anything, but what would be higher than TS12?

Thats a good point, the game came direct from Auran arrived couple of days ago, so I don't think its a higher build as the route is 2009 I think.
Any more suggestions anyone ?

Try downloading from the DLS website, via FTP, and save as a CDP, rather than opening with CMP.

Route after route will not download via cmp they all show up " pink " and saying " Unkown Content Error " I know I can download via the download page but why is this happening, it did not happen with my TRS2006 !!!
Is it something to do with my sttings ?
Any ideas guys ?

The DLS seems to be exhibiting a wealth of problems as of late, I'm prone to believing the problem does not lie in your PC.

Video sliders

Concerning the stuttering video in Surveyor, I've found that turning down the distance and other video sliders helps greatly. You don't need all that distance in Surveyor anyway.

Or you could spring for a $400 video card

I had the "Stuttery Surveyor - Smooth Driver" thing but fixed it simply by reducing the wind speed to it's lowest setting (Surveyor Main Menu > Edit Environment)...
