I have Just Trains TS2010EE Build 42203 I have tried to update with Aurans 42203 to 44088 Patch it wont work i have closed my Broadband And Anti-virus didnt work Patcher Install{C:\Program Files\TrainzSimulatorTS2009]
This patch file not applicable to your
current installation version No valid
patch operation specified patching
aborted
I tried to change patcher install with ... browser to where it is installed C:\Program Files\ Auran2010 would not change is there a problem with Just Trains and Auran Patches

No problem with patches. Is your build number on launchpad 42203. And if you have vista are you runnung as administratator?

Make sure you have the right patch, and that it is actually patching TS2010.

The 42203 to 44088 patch is http://download.ts2009.com/patch/42203_to_44088.exe.

If it's not the correct folder, then use the .. button to select the TS2010 folder.

yes thats the Build on launcher iam running windows 7home as administrator and TS2010EE as administraror

yes ihave the right patch when you say button do you mean the ...to browser ihave done that but nothing changes

OK - as said above, it appears you have either the wrong patch (the first number in the patch filename must match your current build number) or you have not selected your TS2010 folder. (Note: you may need to re-click Apply Patch after selecting the folder)

thanks for your help when i got to 2010 folder i clicked on trainz.exe that changed patcher install to 2010 problem sorted

It's OK - I know that patching can be a problem sometimes - I have a page on my tutorial website with a few other patching-related errors mentioned on it.

how long should this take as iam running the patcher now been 45mins so far.
i have a checkered history of trying to install this patch with it aborting . maybe it has stalled????
but the computer is clicking and chuffing away doing something.

DONT touch it, can stay looking like it's stopped for ages, its not.

Ready to install from local patch file.

You've not got it set to turn off/ hibernate if idle for 10 mins or similar have you, your going to have to click the mouse if you have.

i have had alot of trouble in the past with this and have not bothered with it. but after losing yet another route. I deleted everything about 2010 and reinstalled. What do we do now.

Does that mean delete 2010 and reinstall. just as well i havnt put too much into a new route yet. B B B again. I wait with baited breath but might try sleeping on it first.

Hope you didn't waste to much bait but if the patch fails I'm sure you end up with a corrupted 2010, same as if you stop it partway through patching.
Go through the drive to make sure all traces of the old install are gone.
There's a link for you to the patches, read the bit at the bottom, and why it went there i don't know.

there is not one bit of trainz left on computer, using my firefox shortcut to do this. will not even install now saying an error occured while trying to read the source file. the source file is corrupted. surely that cannot be the installation disc. no idea what to do now.
