TS2010 Digital Download - computer can't find download files

I've just got a nice new computer running Windows 7, and have tried to install TS2010 from a previous digital download (I kept all the e-mails and install files when switching computers). Now, I can run setup fine, and my serial code works, but for some reason, it can't recognise the BIN foles, despite the fact that I know they're there, and where they are. I've tried re-downloading the files from fresh, but it still doesn't pick them up.

Any ideas?

You would be better off with a fresh install then just transfer over the local files.

Already tried that (i.e. re-downloading the BIN files from Auran, rather than using what I put onto a memory disk).

itareus - I'm not sure, though I presume I'm an admin user as I've only got one user account on it. The only error message I get is when I click on the location of the files, click OK, and it can't find the files.

David,

Now I understand the problem. You can't run the .bin files directly you will need to have the TS2010 "Setup.exe" file in the same directory (folder). There are a few posts on the forum about this but I can't recall a link to one at the moment - I suggest you try a search of the forum (for "TS2010+download" or similar) and then look through the results, unless somebody posts the instructions or a link for you that is!

Cheers.

Cheers for that, itareus - didn't need to search the forums in the end, what you said made perfect sense - I was running setup directly from the download rather than saving it. Silly mistake - which was probably the best case scenario!

having the same trouble

I am also experiencing the same issue, it is as if the set up engine does not recognize the .bin files and it is frustrating. This is also a digital download and at this point I have tried everything from talking nice to threating to slam my PC with a hammer. At this point I would rather get my money back and find a copy here that I could use form the disc.
