TS2010 Crash with Portals?

So this is the error report when the game crashes. Maybe someone here has seen this...: trainz caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module RenderDirectX9_7c.dll at 0023:011f8c0b.

So good news! After looking at the error logs and seeing that it looks like Direct X may be whats crashing, or is crashing in this case, I switched to Open GL...which has made TS2010 VERY stable. I was able to go approx 1 hour and 35 minutes without a crash. I actually had nothing left to do on my route that I had to quit. So Im VERY happy that its not my route.

However - the performance with Open GL is quite terrible, as my route is hardly detailed at this stage, it is pretty much just track. Are there any performance tweaks for Open GL? Although, Im running 2 ATI Cards, I wonder if that is what the issue is. Tomorrow I will disable crossfire and try direct x again to see if it crashes and or runs smoother. If not Ill settle for Open GL....
 
Glad to hear you have identified the problem. I'd think you only need one video card. Try the Parts and Labor Forum. You might find the answer to this type of computer problem there.
