TS2010: Assets Inadvertantly Added to Session Layer

Beware: newbie screw-up: looking for a way out!

I am working on a small route and after several hours of editing, I created a session, added a couple of trains, and then then test drove the existing track layout. Testing went OK.

Then - WITHOUT THINKING (!) - I exited the driver (back into Surveyor) and continued adding more track, another industry, etc.

At some point when I added an additional signal, I was unable to move it along the track.

Fearing the worst, I quickly saved the route, exited Surveyor and TS2010.

Reinvoking TS2010 Surveyor on the route I had just saved, I found that all the additions I had make since the test drive were missing!

I exited Surveyor back to the main menu, and selected the saved route and the test drive session and lo-and-behold all my addition track, industry, etc were there.

So, I have - say 80% of my assets - in the Route layer and the remaining 20% in the Session layer.

Is there any way I can move these assets in the Session layer back to the route layer (where, in my opinion) they belong?

Thanks,

Wes

If you select the Question Mark info tool and click on an asset, there's a combo-box in the top-right of the information window which should let you change the layer the asset is on. It's there for objects, and is probably there for trackside objects too.

If you want to move most or all of the items on the session layer to be on a route layer then just drag the whole session layer to the route layer window and drop it. Then use the property button on the items you want to move back to the session layer. Don't worry about the layer's name. You can rename it if you wish or merge it with the default route layer.
