"Windowed" mode, or are you running full screen?
i am running on full screen my set up is windows 7 sp1 64 bit asrock fm2a55m -vg3 mother board , 8gb ddr3 ram, with amd 6 possessor 5400k and a radeon hd5700 series graphics card , i run trainz on a separate 350 gb hard drive . what happens i load surveyor and every 30 seconds or so it drops to task bar click on it and it comes back up work for 30 second and does it again ect. ect.

I've a feeling that you have a program other than Trainz that is popping up notifications or similar that is causing this.

Shane is on the money (as usual). My computer does this occasionally, but not anywhere near the extent yours is. My drop-outs generally occur when some background programme decides to update itself (usually the Virus checker). You must have something running in the background (probably a Trojan) that is constantly accessing the net. You need to give your operating system a good check to find out what is doing that. With regards to the actual dropping out - this is only a recent phenomenon, leading me to suspect one of the recent Windows update patches is probably causing a glitch.

I would not be suprized as my security scans come back as clear and i update that every day this has just started in the last week i think i may dump ie11 because it has started since this was downloaded but i use firefox as my preferred site dan

I have done a system restore dumped system mechanic as i think this was problem, problem still existed to some extent when loading trainz routes i had made gone , i have found that i can restore the hard drive trainz runs on separately done that got my tracks back last night went on today same problem tracks gone done a restore of my trainz hard drive all back again except in my Tyndale platforms have vanished , i think problem may be having a separate hard drive just for trainz will try and fathom out dan

You may find that doing a restore on the hard drive that Trainz is on has caused some assets to be deleted - it can happen. Check for missing dependencies in Content Manager and download anything that is missing from your route.

have fired up today no problems working fine have done data base repair but platforms still missing could be obsolete will try to instal new ones from dls but for ts12and see what happens i have also noticed a small under bridge missing as well danny

I would suggest checking Content Updates to see if there are any newer versions of the 'missing' assets.

I run seperate drives for trainz installs (have done for years) and set my a/v to ignore them.
