Having not yet purchased 2009WBE, I am wondering if the new baseboard grid distance applies in both the native and compatible mode.

Currently, I'm struggling with learning to use Blender. My guess is that by the time I'm ready to export my first model, 2009 should be available in USA stores.

I already have TRS2006; models made in gmax and in 3D Canvas.

I've never done it, but the hearsay is you have to convert an existing map to "five mode" somehow?

Now, that doesn't have as short an answer! Well, it does but it doesn't. Converting from 10m to 5m is easy. You right click on the 'add baseboard' tool, change it to 5m, and then use the 'add baseboard' tool on an existing baseboard. This will convert it to 5m. However, all texture blending and all texture rotating will be removed from existing textures.

Does FPS suffer in 5m mode? I expect it would.
