Could anyone out there make a good reskin of the GP38-2 and Amtrak Superliner car into the Rocky Mountaineer please? If someone could that would be great! (sorry for the big pictures!)

I'm not a reskinner but I'm glad you called it what you did rather than "Need This Train" or "I WANT THIS!!!".

Now please post the kuids of the assets you would like reskinned to this livery, and I'll look into it.

There both built-in assets: (TRS2009 SP4)
Superliner II Coach 34120: <kuid2:46162:14445:1> (The reskin doesn't have to have a number)
BN GP38-2: <kuid:46162:1038210> (Just a standard GP38-2 but with the BN livery, couldn't find the undecorated one)

Thanks!

I've never been intense enough to even know the difference between a GP38 and a GP38-2 (or really even care), but there is an undecorated GP38 on the DLS, <kuid:439337:100728> which is a msgsapper TS10 update of the prjindigo model, if that would work for you (and make Ed's work a lot easier).

Cool! Ever so often you should post screens of how it's coming along.

Thanks!

Yes but I tend to do reskins from start to release in one step. Does 2009 still work with Paintshed skins? I don't remember and don't have it installed any longer.

I don't think so as it was made for TRS2006 and below. I think anyway.

Thanks!

TS2009 can use content created by Paintshed, but it cannot create them.

Bear in mind that later versions may drop such support entirely.

Okay; I've run into a bit of a hitch here. I checked the Rocky Mountaineer Roster, and they have never had a GP38, they did have GP40's and GP40-2's after the 40's were rebuilt. To that end, there are already two GP40's in that livery on the DLS; kuids <kuid:95125:8017> and <kuid:95125:8018>. There is also a Coach: <kuid:95125:103200> and a baggage car: <kuid:95125:109487>. I don't have reskinning rights for the Superliner, and am waiting for a return E Mail.

I'm sorry but I can go no further right now. Were you aware of the items on the DLS? Is this a quality issue? Let me know.

I didn't know they were on the DLS. Sorry for all your troubles you went through. Can I ask another favor if you still have that GP38 I sent you?

You may, but I've committed myself to a route builder for the next month, so aside from what I'm already finishing up in the pipeline it will be far longer than a week for me to get to it. You're welcome for the effort, but as I was casting the net for images of GP38's and not finding any I decided to check their roster. That's always a good step to Google a companies roster to find images of a certain locomotive. I don't want to duplicate the work of someone else if it's already on the DLS unless there is a quality issue that I can correct.

Hmmm...a route builder eh? Scratch that GP38 favor. Could you try this for your first challenge: Castlegar, BC, Canada. (I live near there.) I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks! (Yes I have tryed and didn't get far. LOL!) Sorry for all the requests, I fell bad!
