Beta - "feature complete but not all systems are working as intended. Requires bug fixing and polish."
That is the definition of Beta.
Known issues are shown on the Beta Test Center pages. They describe the errors in the current content. There is also a summary of bugs found by the testers.
We're making good headway through the known issues and the majority of bugs will be fixed prior to release. Non-serious bugs will be released in a patch some time after release. There are already 100 bugs fixed in the "patch version" some of which will be integrated into the release build and others that rely to heavily on bigger changes that will wait until the first patch.
If you find bugs, please follow the bug submission guidelines in your email or on TrainzDev.com. We'd like to keep the Trainz forums for Trainz info rather than development info.
Regarding CMP not downloading, it may take a few minutes to populate the DLS list. If there is a list and no errors showing regarding connection and you cannot download, please submit a bug explaining the steps you have taken (including screenshots). As far as I am aware, apart from a couple of crashes reported due to faulty content, plus a texture compression bug affecting Smiley

CMP is behaving very well for users. Once we release a new tutorial regarding filtering, adding ew columns I am confident CM2 will start to gain new fans at a rapid rate.
We currently have 3 known crash bugs and a couple of non-reproducible crashes. Also, content showing errors does not necessarily mean the item will not work. In fact, in most cases the errors were present in previous builds but simply not reported.
Here is an example:
item A reports an error with Texture B not loading.
The item looks fine in Surveyor and works as it should.
Open looking at the 3D model, there is Texture B showing on the main surface of the item, but also placed incorrectly in the "wrong" slot in the mesh. Trainz ignores the unloadable texture, loads the object correctly but reports an error (which there is since the texture in the wrong slot is not needed at all).
We could supress the error, but then the creator would not be aware of his error. In most cases it s fine, but in one case we have found, the texture was 25MB in size (and doesn't appear on the object at all in game).
