In the SP5 thread, Tony said I did not motivate why I prefer TRS19 build 100240
as the best Trainz version (for me)
General:
-has a lighter (poly and PBR) main menu
-hardly ever crashes (less than SP1-SP4)
-build 4.6, everything I make here will work in all TRS19/22 versions
-no icons in CM, they are ok but dont need them
-can fine tune graphical settings more (fi AA)
-Sliders work more natural
-no unused S2 files in this version
Surveyor:
-Undo is on the top menubar
-Gridview is on the top menubar
-Edit Session is on the top menubar
-Quickdrive is on the top menubar
-Has a GUI for making consists (not perfect but better than non)
-Cars don't pile up
-grid is simple
-compass is simple
Driver:
-The scripted minimap works
-Mouse movement is more subtile
-Simple Edit Trains (UDS is nice, but don't need it)
My own customizations:
-Repaired Trackview rule instead of the bottom graphics,
top to bottom is more ergonomic than left to right and can switch junctions
-Driver list, less wide with smaller heads and no overlapping sliders
-my own junction arrows
-Text on minimap, changed from "Map Display Options" to "Options"
-my own transparent #trainzchat, without login/logout spamming
-Set-Driver-Condition-Rule, replaces most of the interface in Driver
-custom set of Passengers with a little self-illumination
Ofc. everyone has their own favorite Trainz version
main thing is we all enjoy this great program
