TRS19 and the DLS White Pages

There is a problem in regards to TRS19 with the DLS White Pages. Even though you search only for TRS19 content items, other build items show up anyway.

Here is a screenshot of my search criteria:

I reported this issue in the DLS, FCT portion of the forum in April 2019 but nothing was ever done about it, nor did I even get a reply. See my post at:

I use the DLS White Pages all the time because I tend to get more information there about the items then I can often get from the CM. I do this as a way to pre-screen content I am interested in, or to see what has been uploaded by other content authors that I am interested in.

This seems like it would be a simple fix and probably just nothing more then adjusting the SQL Query.

There is such a major difference between build 4.6 and later content and all earlier builds that TRS19 user would want DLS white page searches to be confined to TRS19 or later content items.

Please fix this.

From some past posts from N3V (and I could be in error here) I seem to recall that the Web based DLS, the "white pages", is being maintained, if that is the correct term, mostly for legacy users. I find that I rarely use it these days as CM provides most of the information I need.

I agree that the white pages do provide some information that is missing from the CM display, such as the file size (important in weeding out the GPU hogging assets) and in the number of downloads (which is not an indicator of quality).

Reporting problems in the forums is not the best way to get them fixed - send a message to the help desk or report it as a bug (use the "Other" category). Some forum areas are seldom, if ever viewed by N3V staff - there are just too many forums and not enough staff.

My suggestions.

File size is shown in CM, you may need to add the column.

Bob --

Like you my first port of call is the White Pages. I find it provides more information in a more direct way than Manage Content. The ability to search by "Description" is also significant.

It would be a major retrograde step it N3V ever abandoned it.

You get a description and an image on the white pages (most of the time) which you don't in TS2019's CM. Having to download something in order to take a look at it and then having to delete it gets old very fast.

Double click on an asset in CM and a dialog box pops up with image and description

Yes file size column can be added to CM or Manage Content, worth right clicking on the manage Content header to see just what info can be displayed that isn't by default. Only thing missing is number of downloads.

Thank you, - I learn something new every day.

Likewise, I never noticed that.

Thanks guys.

Now if CM can also tell me if an asset on the DLS has LOD or not, then my avoidance of SketchUp (and "Designed in 3DMax and converted to GMax") assets will be perfected.

You can see all images of assets if they have one. Open launch screen and settings. Tick the box manage content as thumbnails. CM now displays all images.
