TRS 2010 - Great Expectations

TRS 2004 was surely ahead of its time and the massive global interest in trains real, modellef and simulated brought about 2006 and then 2009. I opted out after 2006. I had enjoyed much and was amazed at the expertise and generous help I got from people from all over the world.
Now I have odrered TRS2010 not without difficulty because just connecting with Auran.com needs much patience and more than my browser tolerates.
But I know the advances that game programmers have made over recent years that now not only do extensive programs update automatically and you no longer have tolocate your build number and then hunt he internet for the right patch.
I am assuming that all will be well with TRS2010. That my DVD will arrive on time and I'll just put it into my vomputer and it will install.
Or will it?
Will I first get a note telling me to switch off my antiv'virus (and how the hell do I do that and what if I don't?)
Then surely it will tell me I cannot run it until I'm registered.
Probably I'll have to re register to ensure that I have a genuine copy that will only run on the buyer's computer.
But I'm optimistic and have great expectations and what if it fails to live up to it's hype ? Then I'll just get out my Hornby HO and lay some more track and buy some more rolling stock.

.....I'll just put it into my vomputer and it will install.

Might be better off putting it in your Computer!

....Will I first get a note telling me to switch off my antiv'virus...

Always a good idea for a trouble free install - but disconnect the internet before you turn off the AV.

..... (and how the hell do I do that and what if I don't?).....

Tell us what AV program you have and someone will advise you.

.....Then surely it will tell me I cannot run it until I'm registered.....

You will need to enter your CD key (standard anti-piracy measure) but that should be all.

....But I'm optimistic.....

Remain so, don't worry all will be fine!

Cheers

Chris
