Transitioning and Southern 4501 Engines

Back to Traniz after a year or so. I have TRS 19 and imported a route from Tane.

All the locos in the Route are Southern 4501's.

They show as orange boxes.

Content Manager shows Modified Missing Dependencies.

List Dependencies shows:
60 items, mostly base, a few modified and a few modified and...
4 unknown assets:
<unknown asset> <kuid:68926:100001> stevelerro
<unknown asset> <kuid:68926:300002> stevelerro
<unknown asset> <kuid:68926:300004> stevelerro
<unknown asset> <kuid:103021:55000> lilb



Since 56 of 60 items gives two good locos, why are there 4 items missing.

Anyway, for this and for future reference...

How does one get <unknown asset>s? Or do I just need to find different engines?

I foresee a lot more of these problems as I try to bring other Tane Routes forward.

Check dependencies recursively of both the route and the session.

The lilb (Brian Snook) asset maybe available from Jointed Rail. The others from Steve are payware most likely. If you have the payware downloads, you can reinstall them into TRS19.

This should work unless they are DLC packages in T:ANE and the only recourse is to redownload them again within TRS19.

As I mentioned, I'd put Trainz aside for about a year. Your comments helped reconnect some brain synapsis. I went into Tane, CDPd the four missing file, imported them into TRS19. Yay. My engines are all back.

Interestingly, all four were Open For Edit in Tane which might explain why they didn't transfer when I initially moved the Route/Session into TRS19. Since I have more scenarios to transfer I've made certain that nothing is open in Tane.

I never thought of the open for edit stuff. That's interesting and something to be aware of. I'm glad you got your stuff transferred over.
