I was able to visit the site with my laptop today. Using the following web address:

The TNM Download Client is built on modern web technologies and features a simplified approach to downloading products from The National Map.

apps.nationalmap.gov

Everything appeared as it had in the past. I even tried this address with my android phone and it matched what I had seen in the past as well. If you checkmark the box named:
Elevation Products (3D Elevation Program Products and Services

You should then see a list of checkboxes. I'd recommend that you try the
1/3 arc-second DEM option. After that you can explore other resolutions.

I downloaded the tif file for northeast Memphis and Transdem didn't have any trouble with it. I hope your files worked.

Edit: But the website won't let me download another file. I guess I've downloaded too much stuff in the past.

Updated TRANZDEM to 2.6.7.1. works now !
