TransDem and long KUID's

Hi;
I have been using TransDem (now ver 2.4.0.0) to generate terrain maps and track, road, and water splines. I found that some KUID's cannot be used. For example, this one by BNSF50: <kuid2:39134:100024:2> cannot be used in TransDem because of the extra ":2" at the end. I don't know whether the KUID2: will work, but I did not get an error message about this part of the KUID.
One work-around is to clone the asset so that it has my own KUID, but does anyone know another work-around?
What would happen if I simply left out the last ":2" for that KUID?

Thanks for your assistance

G'day Approach_Medium,

I must confess, as a long time user of TransDEM, that I have never come across the issue of which you speak but by the same token, I am not in the habit of 'asking' TransDEM to replace it's built-in polylines with splines. I would venture to say that reducing the KUID you provide in the dialogue box for the desired spline to just the mere numbers (the asset creator's ID and the asset's identifying number), should, given the way the KUID2 system is designed to work, obtain the same substitution as if you had specified the KUID in it's entirety...
