Tram refuses to go over 10 km/h @@

Hi All,

I've set up a mini tram route of sorts, with invisible signalling and a 50 km/h signboard past the portal (plenty of room for it to go out and recognize the signal) but the tram only goes at about 8-10 km/h for the whole route!

I have a few of Andi06's type 2 tram stops but yeah, I'm baffled as to why the tram refuses to go at any speed faster than 10 km/h (and why it overshoots the stop by almost a full tram length as well!).

Could anyone offer me any suggestions as to how to make the tram go at about 50 and to force the tram to stop properly at the actual tram stop? :)

what a mess.

I wonder if downloading a different engine will make the tram go faster. I know this is off topic but I have F90 train (Berlin subway) and it goes no faster than 40 miles a hr. But sometimes when I chose cab mode it can go as fast as 56 miles a hr or more. So with a tram I tried putting an different engine on the tram (via CMP) and the results were interesting. The tram went just a bit faster. So try that.

What do you mean?

Are you using this set? http://www.ibertrainz.eu/noticias/?p=359

I don't know how you got it to work, because the bottom of the page (or near the bottom!) states that it's for TRS2006 or TC with passenger handling. Still glad you got it to work.

No, those were some trams from sites like Tramtrainz and Ptrams as tdstead said. Setting the mass to 0 or increasing it should help it out. I think the trams from those sites were made for 04, so it was no big deal getting them up and running.
