Does anyone know the current status of the free downloads areas of TrainzItaliaPRO? I've registered with them, yet am told I don't have permission to access either the Classic or New free download sections.

Hello Robert,

in the past, we have been targeted by many spammers advertising consumer electronics, World of Warcraft services and even porn sites (with explicit videos ) and two intrusions by hackers forced us to rebuild our free downloads areas.

So we have adopted a strict control about new users: every new registration must be checked and approved by an administrator to be activated. Usually, new accounts are checked several times per day, but since administrators are not online 24/7, a delay of some hours may occur before new accounts are activated. This is especially true - and unavoidable - for users from the U.S. because of time zones.

Anyway, I have just activated your account: let me know if you experience further trouble.

Thank you very much there, I hadn't expected such a quick and positive response. I've just checked and I've got access okay. I'm sorry that you guys have had such a hard time of it with spammers - here's to their getting caught and dealt with appropriately some day!

Until recently, at TrainZItalia International, I found 200-300 new users every day, most of them spammers with improbable names, mail.ru accounts and with "Nauru" or "Zimbabwe" as country of origin . I had a very hard time finding the two or three real new users among them...

P.S, Love the line "DCC is for wimps..."! Even if I use it myself while testing things out.

The line is wonderful, but it's not mine; Philskene - another member of the Holy Church of Cab Mode members - invented it and kindly gave me the permission to use it in my signature.

Can not log in
Hi Carlo

This was posted on the 22 06 2011 and received no reply.

Having a problem logging to Trainzitalia. Every time I try and log on it tells me either username or password is invalid and when Itry to go to lost password it says email address is not reconized.
Have only been able to enter once since I received my confirmation email.

Any advice will be grateful for.

Hi Joe,

first, let me apologize for not replying you: somehow I must have missed your e-mail.

I just searched our user database and I found no trace of your account .

It could have been deleted after you did not log in for 180 days, or by mistake (we are only human beings, after all).

Please, register again: I will validate your account as soon as I see it in the "new users" area.
