Hi

I recently download and install servicepack 1 for trainz 2006.

When I edit my routes and want to add drivers to my trains, I can['t get it right. Normally when edit session to change time, weather etc, you can['t do it anymore. I can['t add drivers for my trains or change anything anymore.
Any Help?

Did you follow the correct instructions for installing SP1?
You do know that you can only install SP1 on a fresh install of TRS2006 (one that has never been opened or ran) ?
If you did run or open the 06 content manager you will need to uninstall 06 make sure you back up your local folder first.
Reinstall 06 DO NOT RUN OR OPEN any Part of 06 then install SP1 then and only then reinstall the backed up local folder.

Im having the same problem.
But I have followed all the instructions I guess its just cause I have vista
Are you sure you need sp1, as only the old copys of TRS2006 needed sp1 as your a new member Im guessing that your copy of TRS2006 already has ps1 built in. You need to check your Build Number!

Here are instructions on how to set up and run TRS2006 in VIsta

Now if you are going to reinstall trs2006 and sp1 "the correct way", besides following the sp1 install instructions exactly, is to make sure that when you install that you right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator" let it install then do the same for the sp1 patch file.

Then the first time you start trs as per the sp1 install instructions again right click and select "Run as Administrator".

This is also how you should install other "older (legacy) programs" in Vista so as to avoid problems latter

Then you should do the changes to the /bin application files by right clicking on each file listed below and select the properties page for the file and then select the compatibility page. On this page at the bottom is the privilege Level, select "run this program as an administrator" .
Select apply and then ok.

These are the files I changed -

CCP
CCPConsole
ContentManager
trainzutil
TPS2006

It has been suggested by others that you might also need to change the other application files as well. These would be -

gsc
gse
launcher
openGLextensions
Trainz
TrainzDiag

You may also need to add to the trainzoptions.txt file in the /trs2006 folder the following line

-intro=disable

Its ok I already fixed it but thanks :)
@alfsmith did you read the install instructions cause if you didnt theres your problem and if you do read them and do it all right and still have this problem then let us know your specs
