Trainz wont start!

Have you actually checked the tickets page in the Helpdesk system?

They do not normally send out emails nowadays.

The database should fix itself - it just takes time.

There are no other ways of fixing this issue.

You must wait for Helpdesk to sort it.

Make sure you have actually submitted a ticket to them - simply searching the knowledgebase will not submit a ticket to them.

Are you sure this is why trainz won't respond

Are you sure this is why trainz won't respond. I mean, how does trainz know not to respond when I entered a valid, registered serial number:'(

like the others have said only helpdesk can resolve serial number issues as according to your profile you have nothing registered.

can i undo registering the serial number:confused:

Travis,

1) Log in to Planet Auran, and enter in your serial number there.

Be sure you choose the correct version.

2) In Trainz its self, under options, enter in your serial number there.

Once both places are entered, you should be fine.

The program not starting is also sign of the database crashing. This happens 99.99% of the time if you've turned off your computer before the background database utilities have stopped working and have not closed down the files properly.

There are two ways to ensure that your Trainz asset database, which is used by Content Manager to keep track of your downloads and installed files, and by Trainz its self to know what content you have in your system.

1) Wait at least 5 or 10 minutes before turning off your computer.

or

2) Enable database processes window, which is found under the options when you start Trainz.

Now having said all this, there's now a bigger possibility that the database is really corrupt, and you'll have to wait for the database tools to clean up the mess. This process can take some time, so start Trainz and leave your computer alone. You might want to start this process before going to bed and let it run overnight to do its thing.

The alternative is to start Content Manager, and perform a database repair. This also can take some time, so plan on doing this before you go to bed, and leave the computer on overnight.

Quick question.

Are you registering your Trainz versions with another User Name other than... ttravis2947 ?
