Trainz Wikibook?

Wow! Thanks for catching that, guys.

John, Unfortunately we can't restrict edits while the book is hosted on Wikibooks. It's part of the terms you have to accept to have a book there. We can do exactly what you did; revert back to the previous good version.

Mediawiki provides for email alerts when a page changes. I'll have to look into how to turn that on for a Wikibook.

I think one issue is we have a series of do this do that in the tutorials, the cencern is if some one modifies it to say format C: or something similar and I don't know how to protect against that. For non technical stuff yes great but for follow these instructions it needs to be hardened in some way.

John,
Hardening content on a Wikibook is hard. Best suggestion is to put a watch on your pages.

I've been keep a watch on the front page and it seems the vandal has gotten the message. The front page has remained intact since the 30th.

It is sometimes really hard to find good tutorials, even after extensive googling. Often one gets good links here on forum (that's how I found most of mine). But instead of wiki (which is separate), wouldn't it be nice if tutorials could be uploaded to DLS??

I think the issue is keeping them up to date and refining them. Which is why I like the wiki. Maybe an Auran hosted wiki that can only be modified by some one with a forum id?

I have an idea you can tag pages so you get emailed if they are modified. Perhaps we could make some one / two responsible for each section?
