Hi mixyme,

What version of Trainz is it? TRS2004, 2006, TCxx, or TS2009? And it might help to tell us where you bought it.

Hi MixyMe,

With TRS 2006 & 2009 my CD key was on a white sticky label attached to the outside back cover of the "Manual" that came in the Box.

With TC3 it was on a white sticky label inside the DVD box.

Its in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, where X can be any letter or number.

The first block of four seems to indicate the Trainz Version (e.g. for TC3 it is ATC3, presumably standing for Auran Trainz Classics 3).

If you have nothing like this try contacting the Auran help desk via e.mail - link at the top of this forum page.

Well, it's unfortunate but I don't think anyone can help you with this. If you had previously installed it the registration serial number will be stored in your profile. Click the bar above underneath the ad where it says...(of all things)...Serial Number. If you haven't installed and registered it before, then how do you know you love this game?

Did you register the serial number at that time?

If so, your user name and password that you used to register the number would still be good, if you can remember those click on the serial number link at the top, which will take you to planetauran, where you can view the serial numbers you already have registered once you log in with the original username and password.

No I did not register the serial number at all. I just joined this site today, but I have found the s# and now have the game installed and register. Thanks for all the assistance.

Well, at least this young man has started at the beginning of the franchise in obtaining Trainz, he just needs several more years' versions now, to catch up with the rest of us.......:hehe:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Unfortunately, that might be very difficult as Auran recently phased out support for Trainz 1.1/1.3 which is the version you have - basically no new content can be created for that version and uploaded to the Download Station (DLS), although existing content is still available.

Access to the DLS for Trainz 1.1/1.3 is also restricted - you have to either purchase and register a 'supported' version of Trainz (anything later than Trainz Classics), or purchase a 'First Class Ticket', which is kind of like a subscription to the DLS. Of course, we all have different budgets and not everyone can afford to just buy a new game at will or purchase a ticket, but it's money well spent in my opinion.

Finally, to install content on the DLS (which is in CDP format), you need to patch your version of Trainz with a service patch (I think it would be the 1.3 patch, which was formerly available in the Trainz 1.3 forum, but I have no idea if the link still works or not. If you try installing a CDP file into an un-patched version it will just throw up an error.

Anyway welcome back to Trainz! And, say good bye to your real life - Trainz has a habit of sucking you into it. :p

Hi All,

Jimmy,

You have your serial registered in your profile:

Log in to your planet Auran profile, any choose "Serial" menu - you can see your registered serial number.

Mixyme, you also have registered serials. Do the same thing. ;)
