Trainz Plus Beta Plant Factory support 131068

Has anyone observed the re-draw of trees in the distance as you move the camera around?

So far, no one has raised it as an issue or commented on it.

I'd like to know those who do notice it, if it bothers them or if it appears acceptable when driving a session?
Also, I'd like to know to know if you only noticed it after I raised it in this post?
Those that don't see an issue, it does need a route with plenty of trees to be seen in the distance. You can try drive one of the built in KSC2 sessions. If you don't notice an issue when driving a built in session (or session with lots of trees), then please comment so I know it is not an issue for you.

I have seen this but as I keep my draw distance at 5 K I assumed it was cause by that. No, it didn't bother me at all. Overall, I have had no issue with the trees. I can't even detect the transition of the imposter trees and I'm looking for it. ;)

I use the KSC 2 route for all my testing of the TLR features so I spend a lot time watching trains running from the Chase camera mode.

Edit: I just increase draw distance to 8 K and will continue to up it to see what happens.

If the errors continue, try assign your build a fresh local data folder. Log in with your MyTrainz account, and update the build to the Trainz Plus Beta. Then once updated, try reassign your old local data folder and run a DBR.
So even with creating a new data folder, pointing the path in settings there and relogging in, the Patch Installer.exe is continuing to copy over my normal/original Trainz Data folder.

And still no progress dialog box appears.

I have not noticed any issues here. I have my draw distance set at 22,000m for all my routes. I have tested the issue on several of my large routes in the HD mode and find no difference between this build and build 129343.

Trees load fine. The popping into place after rotating the camera is annoying. I have my settings set at 15000m. I tried 22000m and it made no difference here.

What I have an issue with is the track not loading fully. This is all track including built-in versions. The roadbed will appear eventually followed by some rails. There are times when chunks of track are missing and then it appears later.

If the camera is repositioned, the process starts all over again. There are times when there is none and other times when there are only spline points visible for a very long time before the ballast finally appears. This is apparent in both Surveyor and Driver. I know that bad or marginally faulty scripted objects can put a drag on things and cause the tracks to load poorly and this is why I tested this in Surveyor as well because there are no active scripts or consists loaded that can cause this.

Initially, I thought this was due to the lack of precaching. I left the route alone as it loaded to allow the content to load. This is a very large-sized route with lots of content and lots of trees. Other content took some time to load, but eventually did and remained while the tracks have struggled to load anyway.

Here's what I have found. I took my largest route with the route size of 1285.2MB and the session size of 36.6 MB. The route is running in HD and a draw distance of 22,000m. The track I am using is TRS19Trk Jarrah 5 Procedural Seasonal running on PBR Crushed Stone 27 Ballast. This route has lots of trees, Clutter, and TurFX.

On this large route in surveyor mode I can rotate the camara rapidly and the trees load fine, even at the far distances. I traveled along the track very rapidly and things were fine. I came to one spot where the track followed very closely to a river. In one incident there was a gap between the track and the ground. I smoothed the ground under the track and initially the gap remained. (The box in the upper left corner showed the progress and when it showed the task was completed the gap remained). I waited at this spot for about 15 seconds, and the gap disappeared. I continued zooming along the track in a good portion of the route and in no case did the track fail to draw.

John, what track are you using? I will give it a try on my route and see if I see the issues you are having.

There are no issues with any of these tracks in 129343 and my graphics settings are identical. That was the first thing I checked. The JR US track appears to have the issue.

I may run a precache overnight to see if that helps and then test again tomorrow.

The JR US track (pro) KSC2-1 chunks into place. I haven't seen the others during my testing because I gave up at that point.

I found a bug, I think in Content Manager. When searching for track as a dependency, it listed all tracks I once used as well.

John, these are the only built in JR US tracks I have. I cannot find <kuid:66128:44547> JR US track (pro) KSC2 -1 (narrow ballast) on my installed version (build 131068). Any ideas?

The track I've been using comes from N3V's Kickstarter 2 route. This is the route TLR version and also has HDT. I copied my data over from my build 129343 version so I could test using my large route and others apples to apples to put everything through the paces.
