Trainz overdose

I think I have a trainz overdose.
I try to use my mouse to change the view when I am watching a trainz video and I am starting to suffer from Fear Browsing Trains Forum and Fear Downloading Assets . Perhaps I should ask Shane to add the abbreviations to his list as I see there are many other patients :).
I am going to take a break from my CM dependency and relax in the coaches drawn by a reliable steam locomotive in some calm scenic routes in TR10 , drink a BIG bottle of Bells Patience and try again when I feel better.

Another abbreviation eh? I'll sort that one out momentarily.

I know that dealing with downloading assets is a tricky area, and is one I'm attempting to help users through.

Well, Is there anything that abbreviates into trying to play the trainz game in the videos? I tend to do that. :hehe::eek:

LOL! I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one with TMTS (Too much Trainz syndrome). I was watching a Youtube video of the Marias Pass X route a few days back and I was very annoyed when I was trying to move the camera viewpoint and it was not moving! :o

AHA ! ...Join the club .
looking for a chairman...:D

Some of the next symptoms are :

Operating CM before you know what is going on till the smoke billows out of of it

trying to copy and paste a screenshot into a thread and thereafter looking for the damn screenshot.

I'm guilty of the same habit as the rest of you. It's an acquired fault thanks to the advent of HD Fraps recordings.

I've got it bad, too. When I'm out railfanning and see a stretch of old worn track that is bumpy & lumpy, I'm wondering why they didn't use the Smooth Tool. Then, if I'm out driving and see a row of trees that all look too uniform, I think, "He didn't have the Randomly Rotate Objects box ticked!"

But the worst one is when I take a picture of a nice locomotive--- and for a fleeting instant--- think, "That'll look good on my route!!"

I guess I've lost it...

Incidently - I purchased the MPX route, downloaded it and battled my backside off to get it to install, it spoke gibberish to me about why it can't install, eventually kind Josef sent me the DVD, it arrived in SA with the pigeon after many weeks, I stuck that in the computer and...it's gone ! I will look again when I have the guts...it must be somewhere...

I purchased the MPX download too. It is a huge download and install! I believe it took about an hour to download the file and another hour for the install. Before I started driver, I opened CM and it was about another 10 minutes to update the data before CM would display the assets. Everything that installed looked good in CM so I proceeded to load driver and the route worked with no problem. I'll chaulk up my success installing it to beginners luck! I hope you can get yours sorted out soon. It's a very nice route.

I have long suffered from trying to use my mouse to rotate other people's screenshots myself! I dare say it's the most common Trainz affliction!

I'm guilty of this too. I was driving through road construction and I was thinking that the crew could have been done with the job if they used a road spline instead of actual equipment.

I've also noticed too that when I've gotten to a highway off ramp that there is little or no traffic on one side of the bridge. When I've gone around the ramp and on to the road below, the traffic is stopped up. This is because the traffic portals are stopped up by AI drivers that have SPAD'd badly, causing everything to snarl up, and all the traffic vehicles are stuck at one end of the route.

Hi Dave.
The other day I was driving a train up a long steep gradient and concentrating heavily so as not to break the couplers (again ) and came upon this cool scene where a few guys are standing around a little fire chatting . It was raining those big drops and lightning and I thought to myself - how come that fire don't die off , and those guys better get inside before the lightning whacks them...I still want to go back and see whether that little fire glows in night mode..
Perhaps you or Euphod can modify it for us if it does not. :)
While I am on that : I think I have seen somewhere that there are bushfires to DL, which should look quite cool at night too.
