Sounds like a cheapie to me, laptop or desktop?
Anyway GMA X4500s aren't new, they are 2008/2009 video cards and worst still, they are not true graphics cards. They are Intergrated Graphics Processors. That means that the graphics part is intergrated into what is called the "Northbridge" (Which also does many other functions, like USB IIRC, audio I think, etc. The "Southbridge" does all the legency and low level stuff IIRC). Now, the IGP doesn't really have its own memory, it borrows some off the system ram, so you got 1GB ram, it will use 256mb of that, so you actually get 768mb ram. IF you had a dedicated video card, you'd have 1GB of ram to play with. No ifs or buts.

It sounds like you have a desktop, unless you have an ultra small form factor computer, like a Dell Optiflex, you should be able to quite easily add a grpahics card. But if you have a laptop, sorry mate, its a paperweight to Trainz.

i am not using laptop and using desktop pc
i am asking this bcz i am playing trainz smoothly on p4 system whose built in memory is 96 mb but now my new motherbord has 256 mb memory then there should must be some difference in performence but it goes poor
