Will you lock the default routes that come with it again, preventing any updates, porting and editing?
To anyone that doesn't know, just make your own copy by editing the existing route (the route, not any sessions) and saving your own. Can you not make your own copies anymore? You can in TS12 so I would assume you can in T:ANE and the upcoming TRS19. The early access version of the game will be released in JULY for anyone who did not read their article. Also, the photo of the Rocky Mountaineer is just artwork and not an actual screenshot.

the biggest issue with sound for me is the fact that so much of it is done by content creators who obviously have little idea of sound levels. Someone attached a bird song to a stump they made. A forest full of old stumps sounded like an utter cacophony and there are many more examples of this ..
I too would love to be able to edit the built-in routes. We're all liked that and have enjoyed the editing and fiddling that was allowed in the past, and would like to enjoy this ability again.
Can not believe that once again a new release is offered before previous Tane updates are completed. I seem to remember the same thing happening with all other versions. Time I woke up. Don't think things will be any better, Sorry but that's the way I feel.
TS12 SP1 HF4 and up does not allow the editing of built-in or DLC content. This was due to some people illegally distributing the routes and content. We have requested a compromise to all us to edit the content locally, so to allow us to do as we did before, but not allow the content to be uploaded. Tony said at one point that N3V would look into doing something like that, but up until now we haven't raised the ire again; maybe now's the chance to do that before the code is fully locked down.

Just wait a few years to buy a copy. There will be updates and service packs and usually the price is lower as well and you can get a nice deal.
Meaning no disrespect, but for some that might work, but unfortunately for N3V, if everyone adopts that position, N3V will be out of business in a matter of months.
You wouldn't keep buying a new car from a manufacturer who promised to fix the engine shutting itself off by the third recall, or that the fix to cure the engine fault now causes the lights not to work. You would demand a refund, the manufacturer/company would either be forced to pull up their bootstraps or go into (deserved) bankruptcy - and you would buy a car that worked properly from elsewhere/another make.
